Apple sues FAS
Apple has filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Arbitration Court challenging the RUB 906 million turnover fine, which the Federal Antimonopoly Service imposed on the company in April.
On April 27, the FAS Russia Commission established that Apple abused its dominant position in relation to developers of mobile applications of parental control and limited competition in the market for distributing applications for mobile devices operating under the operating system iOS.
According to the card index arbitration cases, Apple filed a claim with the Moscow Arbitration Court. The preliminary meeting is scheduled for July 21. In the course of it, an Apple representative will have to substantiate the company’s claims. The FAS, in turn, will have to submit a written reasoned response to the application filed by Apple.
