France fines Google 220 million euros

The French Competition Authority has ordered Google to pay a fine of 220 million euros.

The French antitrust regulator concluded that Google, taking advantage of its position, promoted its own advertising services to the detriment of competitors.

“Following a call from News Corp Inc, Figaro Group and Rossel The Voice, the Competition Authority today fined Google € 220 million for abusing its dominance in the ad server market for web publishers and mobile applications.” , – said the Office.
