The Lucky Star casino network in Oklahoma has been attacked using ransomware.
According to the KFOR-TV channel, casino officials did not indicate what the hackers were asking for.
As cybersecurity experts suggest, since almost all casino games are now computerized in one way or another, the ransomware operators have caused a serious malfunction in the computer systems of the establishments.
Lucky Star representatives apologized to customers, saying they did not know if any personal information was compromised. Lucky Star officials notified federal law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, of the incident and launched an investigation.
